Glosses in handwriting, apparently by the author. These glosses and proofs are found in some copies signed under them 'the author' in the copy before us there are proofs but they are not signed.
On the cover of the book is a handwritten dedication indicating that the book was received as a gift from the author.
The book was written as a response to Shada"l's claims in his book 'The Debate'

הגהות הוספה בכתב יד, כפי הנראה בכתיבת ידי המחבר. הגהות אלו מצויות בחלק מהעותקים חתומות תחתיהן 'המחבר' בעותק שלפנינו ישנן ההגהות אך אינן חתומות.
בשער הספר הקדשה עצמית בכתב יד המעידה על קבלת הספר מידי המחבר במתנה.
הספר נכתב כמענה לטענות שד"ל בספרו הוויכוח.
