A Pennsylvania Chippendale Walnut 3/4 Tall Chest, Second Half 18th Century
The molded cornice above three short drawers over two drawers over three long graduated drawers and base molding, raised on bracket feet. The top left and right short drawers with Quaker locks. Tulip poplar and chestnut secondary wood, with full depth dust boards.
Dimensions: Height 55 1/2in; 40in; depth 21 1/2in.
Condition:
General marks, wear, scuffs, nicks, surface scratches and small losses. The brass hardware is period and in original holes. Scattered patches to thumb molding old drawer fronts. The right side of case with minor patches along top. The appear to like very old replacements front left foot facing lacking a spur. No keys.
